Period property and Conservation

Andrew McLeod has a wide experience in conducting building surveys and valuation reports on old properties throughout the region. This extends from the earliest oak timber frame structures many dating back to Tudor times through to Queen Anne, Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and contemporary eras.

Andrew’s interest in old properties stem from the time he owned a 16th Century thatched cottage and spent some 17 years renovating and extending it. This helped to broaden his professional knowledge and at the same gained him useful practical experience.

Conservation of period property is an important issue and those who live in properties which are Grade II or Grade II* Listed ought to be aware and familiar with regard to materials and the correct way for repairs to be undertaken. McLeod Wright will be pleased to assist and to put clients in touch with experienced contractors as necessary.

Building surveys are, of course, essential to this type of property and for further information click building surveys on this website.

Fees are quoted according to individual property. Andrew McLeod or his assistants will be pleased to contact you to discuss your enquiries@mcleodwright.co.uk
